We hire slowly, and we tell you the truth about the job.
We're a small team. That means less process, more ownership, and nowhere to hide. It suits some engineers and not others, so this page is written to help you work out which you are.
The honest version.
- You'll talk to clients. Not every engineer wants that. Here it isn't optional, and it's a large part of why our work is any good.
- The team is small. Your work is visible, and so are your mistakes. Nobody's contribution disappears into a department.
- We work in the client's stack. That means you'll use tools you didn't choose, and sometimes inherit code you wouldn't have written.
- We say no to work. Including work that would have paid. You'll see why, because we explain it.
What matters when we hire.
- Engineers who explain their reasoning, not just their conclusion.
- People who ask what a feature is for before building it.
- Written communication that a client can follow without a translator.
- Honesty about what you don't know. We'd rather hear "I've not done that" than find out later.
- Experience shipping and supporting real systems, not only building them.
The process.
- 1
Application
A CV and a few lines about what you've built. No cover letter.
- 2
Conversation
Half an hour on what you've worked on and what you want next. Not a quiz.
- 3
Technical assessment
A realistic problem, not a puzzle. We pay for your time if it takes more than two hours.
- 4
Meet the team
The people you'd work with, asking what they'd actually want to know.
- 5
Offer
With the salary, the role and the expectations in writing.
If we say no, we tell you why. If you ask for more detail, we'll give it.
Where the team is.
Our engineering base is in Karachi, we're registered in the UAE and Malaysia, and our working hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00–19:00 Gulf Standard Time (GMT+4) so we overlap with clients across the Gulf.
Open roles.
Nothing open right now. We hire when a client engagement creates a real seat, not to build a bench, so roles appear irregularly. If you're the kind of engineer described above, send us something anyway — we keep applications and come back to them.
